Mastering Mindfulness
Problem: This course is designed for Core Skills, a nonprofit startup that aids refugees and immigrants during the job search process. The transition to a new life, especially for immigrants and refugees, can be a source of stress and emotional strain. Adjusting to a new culture, navigating the job search process, and understanding workforce expectations can be overwhelming, leading to emotional challenges. Many of these individuals may struggle with stress, which, in turn, hinder their success in the workforce and impact their overall mental well-being.
Solution: This Mindfulness course is included in the Core Skills Mental Health Series. It follows a thoughtful instructional approach, providing learners with knowledge, facilitating practice through interactions, and encouraging real-life application via scenario-based learning. It is a highly interactive course that effectively engages the audience through the use of Vyond and offers numerous opportunities for learners to practice mindfulness techniques. Through these interactive mindfulness practices, learners develop emotional regulation, reduce anxiety and stress, and enhance their overall well-being. These real-life applications align with both adult learning principles and instructional design best practices, resulting in a learner-centered design approach that maximizes the effectiveness of the course.

Creating a Positive Customer Experience
The Problem: HarmonyTech, a global software company, encountered a significant challenge related to customer satisfaction and software sales. Over a six-month period, the company witnessed a 15% increase in negative customer feedback, resulting in a 5% decline in software sales. Customers expressed concerns about extended wait times and subpar customer service. Employees faced intense pressure to manage a substantial backlog of customer calls, resulting in a high turnover rate of calls and, consequently, a less positive customer experience. This shift in focus had an adverse impact on customer relationships and overall satisfaction.

The Problem: AD&S Solutions, a global e-commerce company, faced a significant challenge related to data breaches resulting from phishing scams. In the previous six months, the company had observed a troubling 20% increase in data breaches caused by employees falling victim to phishing attacks and clicking on malicious links. These incidents stemmed from employees' lack of awareness and understanding of how to recognize phishing emails, identify malicious links, and thwart social engineering attempts.

These individuals often face challenges in obtaining employment due to a lack of necessary skills, low confidence, or difficulty in adapting to the workforce. Additionally, these individuals may also struggle with emotional intelligence, hindering their success in the workforce and overall mental well-being. Low emotional intelligence can lead to difficulties in managing emotions, handling stress, and building positive relationships, all of which are essential for personal and professional growth.
The Solution: This is one of three courses designed for Core Skills Mental Health Series. This course aims to empower individuals with emotional intelligence skills that are essential for workforce success. The course employs multiple interactive elements and scenario-based learning through a well-crafted system of knowledge delivery, engaging practical interactions, and concluding with real-world scenarios for application.
