About Me

Hi, I'm Megan! I'm an enthusiastic Instructional Designer on a lifelong journey of learning and helping others succeed. The core of my belief is simple: every individual deserves to be "engaged, empowered, and evolve". I enjoy creating dynamic learning experiences that help individuals and organizations grow.

Let’s talk process!
I stand by the principle of putting learners at the heart of the learning journey. My process begins with consulting the stakeholders, developing relationships with the subject matter experts, performing a needs analysis, and pinpointing the performance gaps to gain a complete understanding of the project. In the design and development phases, I incorporate adult learning theories, the ADDIE and SAM models, and a user-centric thinking process. I pride myself in being a hard worker, and I enjoy researching and learning about my topics to further establish effective and creative solutions that grab learners’ attention and make them think. The most rewarding aspect is the handover and implementation process to let the learning begin.

So, where am I from?

If you can picture a small town in Ohio, that’s where I call home. My family and lifelong friends keep me grounded. My love for learning and helping others led me to the profession of teaching and then to instructional design. I have lived a vibrant life that has been filled with adventures of traveling the world and immersing myself in numerous cultures. I taught in America, volunteered in Canada, received my master’s degree in Australia, worked in New Zealand, taught in Turkey, and met my husband in Ireland. Each of these diverse experiences have been invaluable lessons in my life. They have deepened my understanding of people, cultures, and the importance of being flexible and adaptable in life.

When I’m not working, you'll usually find me in nature walking, hiking, exploring with my camera, or practicing yoga. I’m a firm believer in living a healthy lifestyle. I also enjoy problem-solving activities such as completing Wordle challenges and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. I am self-driven, and I am always on the lookout for ways to learn and enhance myself further.
